The Jávea Bridge Club, founded in 1976, allows its members to play the good old fashioned game of bridge in a friendly and relaxed environment. The club is always welcoming new visitors and members to join, regardless of whether you’re only here on holiday or you’re here permanently and are looking for a new club. The Club prides itself on it’s good bridge played, however newcomers to the game are always appreciated, with the club offering tuition for beginners by knowledgeable and experienced teachers.
Alternatively, if you already have some experience with the game, they can offer ‘workshop’ type tuition that can help you improve your game. If you are in need of a partner the club will make every effort to find a partner for you as long as you telephone in advance.
Back in September 2006, the club decided to make it’s residence permanent by purchasing its current premises. Since then, no expense has been spared to ensure the playing environment and surroundings are amongst the best on the Costa Blanca! All of their sessions have pre-dealt boards with print outs of the hands, with analysis available after play finishes and scoring is done using Bridge Pads. Current rankings can be found on the clubs computer screen during play with results available as soon as the tournaments end.
